Last weekend we catered a baby shower for my friend Robert and his lovely wife Katie.  It was a blast, and entertaining at someone else’s (much larger) house was too fun!

Of course, cooking for 2 straight days was fabulously fun, but decorating, arranging, and talking about our food was equally fun!

We grilled bread and chicken, which was delicious and alllllmost didn’t happen – it rained all night and all morning before the shower!

Spinach dip, meatballs, cheesecake squares, and, of course, roasted tomatoes were all part of the menu – fun, easy food that can all be eaten with one hand!

My bff Addie did lots of cute pink and white decorations that we scattered around in the food.

We got all SORTS of creative with our caprese skewers, which we set in tall vases with dried rice and beans!  Super cheap and cute, and we added lots of height to the table with that serving method.

The day was lovely, the party was fabulous, and Robert and Katie got tons of cute stuff for their perfect little girl, who’s due in a few months!

Since there’s some sort of big football game coming up on Sunday, I’ll share the shower recipes throughout the week – they’re all very football-friendly, and easy enough to make quickly for your Super Bowl festivities this weekend!

Congrats Robert and Katie, and thanks for letting us share in the joy of your expanding family!
